Thomas is both a lawyer/solicitor and an academic. He has 20 years of experience as a lawyer in Norway and Spain, and 10 years of experience as an associate law professor in law of obligations (including tort law and unjust enrichment) at the Inland University of Norway. Thomas was a commercial lawyer at the prestigious law firm in Oslo – Wikborg Rein. Later he relocated to Spain for 10 years, where founded his own law firm catering to the Scandinavian and British expat community. Most of his experience as a lawyer is in the field of real estate, but he also hasextensive experience in contract law, banking and finance, insurance, tort law and unjust enrichment.
Thomas has litigation experience from both Norwegian and Spanish courts. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in law from the University of Oslo with his thesis about condictio indebiti (money had and received) and unjust enrichment.
As an academic, Thomas has published books and academic journal articles about international inheritance, international private law, and unjust enrichment. He regularly gives lectures, both in academic and practicing circles, and is a contributor to Karnov's famous legal commentaries on Norwegian law.
